Movin!! Movin!! (No, Really.)

I have so so so much to say and am so so so sorry (notice the alliteration!) for not saying it earlier. In my defense, I was busy having a life and actually doing stuff instead of putting it down on paper and forgetting about it.

Ummm... so we'll start off with the day after yesterday, when I moved out of the hostel for good. No, wait. We'll start with last week, last Thursday to be exact, when I watched Eragon with Wolf. Yeah, we'll start there because I have got to properly barbecue the movie along with the idiot who wrote the book and indirectly the movie, and I've gotta do it well enough that nobody who reads this blog will ever be able to see the name Paolini without sneering for the rest of their life. Yeah, that's what I'll do.

O...K. So Wolf and I haven't met for I have no idea how long (you'll have to forgive me if I make any sloppy grammar mistakes this time round since I'm still operating under two cups' or about 500ml worth of pulled tea's worth of caffeine) and... ah well. Never mind, I'll blog later. Somebody else wants the computer.

Next Last Post

Well now, this is my next and probably last post before I’m overtaken once again by the vice grip of tyranny that goes by the seemingly innocuous name of the SPM. Right now, I can safely say that I have not been studying quite as diligently as my mother would have me. After all, she says that the only way I’m going to an Australian college is on a scholarship, and if I don’t get good grades on the SPM, I won’t get a scholarship and will be forced to take STPM. Oh horrors. Anyway, I am now once again in uncertainty as I wait to see what college I can go to. (As I see it, the STPM is only to be taken as a definite, desperate, only-to-be-taken-in-times-of-great-and-perilous-danger last-minute choice; even A-Levels are better.) I shall soon be applying to TAR college, which I will probably not go to even if I do get in because my mother will have found yet another, better (read: cheaper) college to apply to. Memoriam the Second

My grandmother on my father's side passed away at 3am on Sunday. She had been sickly even before that; this was, I think, the fourth time in a year or so that she had been hospitalised with complaints of difficulty breathing. She had already been unable to sleep without the help of an oxygen concentrator, and her mobility was already extremely limited due to her breathlessness. We were informed of this by a group call on the family Messenger at around 6am. At the moment the immediate concerns were to pay off the remainder of her hospital bill and bring the body home, and then to alert everybody who was still sleeping and had missed the group call. This happened in Johor. A significant part of the family was in Singapore and unable to return: Fourth Aunt, Third Brother, Fourth Sister, myself, and various other cousins and in-laws. Others yet were overseas. As I told someone, geographical distance helps a little with emotional distance. But there always comes a time for remembering.

Panthera Sapiens: A Pie ('Nuff Said about that)

It's... about three years and a half now since I started work, give or take a week or two, and definitely coming on three years since I was transferred into the QA department, so I think it's a bit of a good time to start, hm, taking stock of everything that's changed or not changed, that I can observe. A small thought occurs to me that I ought to encrypt this, so I will. But I'm too lazy to do the complicated key thing that I did before; I'll just use an online encrypter when I'm done with this, and if whoever's reading this is both curious enough to attempt decryption AND clever or fortunate enough to find the key, well, that's reward for motivation and intelligence, isn't it?
