Examinations Are Back Again

I thought, when the Stinking Purple Muck was over, that I'd never be truly stressed out again. It strikes me that I can really be very, very optimistic at times, because I was wrong and I have gotten stressed. I'm currently going through my bi-monthly exams, and so far I've had Chemistry, Biology, English, and Pure Math. Chemistry was a horror (I couldn't figure out the limiting reactant and so got a whole equation wrong); Biology was little better (everything I needed was on the tip of my tongue. Unfortunately it stayed right there and refused to come out my fingertips); Math was relatively easy, except for a couple of subquestions requiring diferentiation (which the teacher cancelled, fortunately for me); and English was, as usual, a piece of cake. I finished the exam in ten minutes and have been assured by the teacher that I've gotten all the questions that she's marked so far correct, except for one--because the question was faulty and so became a bonus mark

Smile And Say Baiseur

Why oh why can't I keep my tongue under proper control? Every time I think I've finally mastered the art of speech, I open my mouth and systematically feed myself my foot, fresh from the shoe. It doesn't help that it's usually accompanied by a colourful word or two to a teacher, and usually causes a bit of an uproar in the class. Fortunately it has never gotten me into serious trouble, but I can't expect this kind of luck to continue long. I have got to get these episodes to end! The incident I refer to occurred on Friday, during English class. The other one ocurred in Form Four, during Moral class. Basically they went like this: (Form Four, Moral Class. Situation: Teacher telling students to trade compliments.) Fab Yellow: pointing at me 'Pandai berkawan!' [Translation: Friendly! (This was a very sarcastic compliment given that at the time I was something of a pariah.)] Me: pointing at Fab Yellow 'Pandai mengawan!' [Translation: Good at mating!] (

Panthera Sapiens: One Year Old

Well, it's been exactly one year since I put up that fateful post last June. Looking back, it's amazing just how much has happened in just 365 days, especially given my indolent lifestyle. Or maybe it's just my subconscious ego hyping up everything that occurs to me. Whichever it is, I should thank everybody out there for faithfully or not-so-faithfully reading my blogs. It's you people that make me try to moderate my language, look for interesting anecdotes to record, and generally try to keep the content U-rated. Not to mention my classmates, who are largely responsible for me loading the place down with HTML coding. Thanks. And I must say, it's not been quite so bad as I thought it might be when I first started out. Nobody has tried to use this blog's contents against me, my family knows about it AND approves of it (because they don't know what I type in here), and it's really doing wonders for my social life. Seriously. When you've got a blog to

They've No Brains

I have just cemented my opinion that being in KL has corrupted my previous semi-workaholic nature by going to yet another mall and not doing any homework on Sunday. I went with Wolf, ostensibly to look for another pair of pants (my jeans have been ripping right, left, and centre--literally) and to keep each other company. It's not as if I earned it by doing mounds and mounds of homework on Saturday. Far from it. I spent the morning and afternoon in school, first for extra Chemistry class, and then for a society's Orientation Day. The latter provided lunch, so I awed Gene and everyone else at the table by finishing off two packs of vermicelli and cornflour/egg plus three cups of orange and blackberry cordial (separately). And then I topped it all off when, at the end of the Orientation, I took another four packs back to the hostel for a free dinner and planned free breakfast. (I was suitably punished: the two packs of vermicelli reserved for breakfast went very, very rancid.) An

Another Test

Congratulations Panthera Sapiens, you are... minishorts of minishorts.net You are outgoing, direct, smart, pretty, and a definite go-getter. You are frank, a little too frank perhaps that sometimes you get on people's nerves and make them very upset. If people attack you, you hit back with triple the force without blinking because you are the kind of person who knows exactly what you are talking about or else you wouldn't talk about it. Your quick-thinking is what makes you special. You are an elitist. Which Malaysian Blogger Are You? ...OK. I won't say the test is completely inaccurate, because it is mostly correct, but... pretty? Smart? A definite go-getter? Methinks this test is just a tiny little bit off the mark.

Mostly Catching Up

It appears that I am becoming a positively outgoing person; where I never used to stir a foot out of doors except for the most pressing reasons, I now find myself gallivanting around the city like the most addicted of mall rats. It does not bode well for either my wallet or my grades. Not, of course, that either was ever in good conditions. It also seems that I have very, very horny classmates who erupt into raucous laughter at the least sign of suggestiveness. The following incident occurred on Friday: Somebody: "...all the girl." English Teacher: "All the girls. Plural, with an s ." The Boys: "An S!!" Eruption of laughter. English Teacher: Exasperatedly "Well, of course! Is there anyone without an 's'?" The Rest of the Class: Laughter loud enough to drown out the rest of teacher's words. And I must admit that it did seem amusing at the time. On Saturday, I went to SWank (not a misspelling) to meet up with a few of my ex-classmates:
