Beginning the World

I am typing this from a cyber cafe in my hostel. The rates are quite ruinous so I'm going to have to take my speed typing to a whole new level, obviously. It's not too bad otherwise.
I have a new handphone, several years out of date, which is how I like it. Lower odds of it getting stolen. And besides, it works just fine except for a few minor glitches, which I plan to iron out as soon as I get a hand on the manual.
I think I'm going to like it here, except for this keyboard. The keys are too soft, and I keep hitting the wrong key by mistake. It's slowing me down lots. Hate it.
Anyway, I left all my classics back at home, and I'm beginning to regret that, because it's gonna get quite boring here without them. At least my room-mate, who is nothing like the one from hell, has a whole stack of manga for me to leaf through. Unfortunately they're all in Chinese.
So this is my first post from my new environment. I think I'm actually going to like it here.

hey tiger !! how's everything? sounds like you've settled down..well, reading manga might improve your rusty chinese, or have you forgotten how to read it? =)Anyway, maybe you should learn touch-typing so it'll save you lots of time. Take care~

I found a whole stack of classics in the library; I've been going through Mitch Albom and some Chaucer for awhile now. It's great!

Next Last Post

Well now, this is my next and probably last post before I’m overtaken once again by the vice grip of tyranny that goes by the seemingly innocuous name of the SPM. Right now, I can safely say that I have not been studying quite as diligently as my mother would have me. After all, she says that the only way I’m going to an Australian college is on a scholarship, and if I don’t get good grades on the SPM, I won’t get a scholarship and will be forced to take STPM. Oh horrors. Anyway, I am now once again in uncertainty as I wait to see what college I can go to. (As I see it, the STPM is only to be taken as a definite, desperate, only-to-be-taken-in-times-of-great-and-perilous-danger last-minute choice; even A-Levels are better.) I shall soon be applying to TAR college, which I will probably not go to even if I do get in because my mother will have found yet another, better (read: cheaper) college to apply to. One Wishes

It is the day of my birth. I am now officially able to vote and get married, if I had the inclination to either at the moment; fortunately for everybody concerned, I shan't be doing either for a long time. So, I'm now older. Again. Personally I've got a bet going on with myself that nobody will remember, or notice, apart from maybe my family and one or two people who have enough time to mark off everybody else's birthdays on their calendars. I'll be breaking out the new wallet my kid sister gave me for my birthday later, though; it's a birthday present so I reserved it for usage beginning now, and besides the fact that it's got BLEACH all over it doesn't hurt either. I'm busy studying now. Physics is on Friday and I've still got 4 chapters to make notes of in the next 9 hours. I hate mis-counting stuff. This is a short post.

Exams are GONE

This post is just to negate the nonexistent rumours circulating that my sudden absence from the cyber world is proof that aliens exist and that they have an odd and unexplainable interest in kidnapping nerdy-looking high-school misfits to perform macabre experiments on, and that that’s what has happened to me. Well, that’s not true. Something far worse has happened. Yes, I do mean that. Picture a scene only found in your worst nightmares: you’re sitting at a desk, staring at a blank piece of paper, trying to figure out what the question means and what the answer could possibly be. Also, all around you are your classmates, writing like the world will end if they stop their pencils for a moment. Yes, I was having examinations—Evil, X-cruciating, Atrociously Mean, Impossible, Nutty and Alarmingly Terrible Inquisitions of Nerdy Students (me). Well, the exams are finally over.
